MSP project capacity

Add project delivery capacity without weakening your client relationship.

IrwellCore works with MSPs on defined cloud, endpoint, rollout and onsite workstreams, either customer-facing under agreed terms or behind your delivery team.

How delivery works

What the service covers

A focused workstream built around the required outcome.

Add discreet project capacity for a defined workstream while your MSP retains the client relationship, commercial ownership and ongoing support.

Protected ownership

Agree the visible role, communication path, commercial boundary and escalation route before contact with the end customer.

Defined workstream

Separate the project outcome from ongoing support so both teams know what IrwellCore owns and where responsibility ends.

Flexible delivery role

Use remote engineering, planned site attendance or a mixed project team according to the requirement and available capacity.

Service-desk handback

Return documentation, decisions, exceptions and outstanding actions to the MSP team that will support the environment.

When to use this service

Bring a defined change, constraint or delivery gap.

A useful first conversation explains what must be different at the end, who owns the environment and what is currently blocking the team.

  • A project has been sold but internal engineering capacity is already committed.
  • A customer needs specialist Microsoft cloud or endpoint delivery.
  • A rollout or site visit needs additional hands for a fixed window.
  • The MSP wants to retain account ownership while using external project expertise.
  • A backlog item needs a defined owner and completion point rather than more triage.

Project deliverables

Useful records, not just completed tasks.

Exact deliverables are confirmed in the proposal. The aim is to leave the receiving team with enough context to operate and support what changed.

Boundaries and prerequisites

  • The MSP retains the customer contract, account ownership and ongoing support unless a proposal says otherwise.
  • Commercial terms, branding, confidentiality and direct-customer contact are agreed before delivery.
  • Reserved capacity applies to the defined workstream and dates; it is not an unlimited escalation rota.
  • Written scope, role, communication route and customer-facing identity
  • Access and security responsibilities agreed with the MSP
  • Progress, risk and blocker reporting at agreed intervals
  • Technical records suitable for the receiving service desk
  • Formal handback of open items and support ownership

Delivery process

A clear route from discovery to handover.

The technical detail changes by service, but ownership and project controls stay consistent.

  1. 01

    Scope

Define the outcome, environment, stakeholders, constraints and what a successful handover looks like.

  2. 02

    Plan

Agree access, delivery windows, dependencies, communications and a practical change or rollout sequence.

  3. 03

    Deliver

Complete the work in controlled stages, keeping blockers and decisions visible as the project moves.

  4. 04

    Handover

Validate the outcome, record the configuration and transfer knowledge to the client or ongoing MSP.

Service FAQs

Questions to settle before delivery.

These answers explain common assumptions. The written proposal is the final record of what a specific project includes.

Read all general FAQs
Will our customer see the IrwellCore name?

That is agreed before delivery. Work can be completed behind your team or in a customer-facing role with the identity, email style and meeting responsibilities written down.

Can you sign an NDA or supplier agreement?

Suitable confidentiality and supplier terms can be reviewed as part of onboarding. Access, data handling, liability and commercial boundaries must be workable for both parties.

Can we use IrwellCore for a one-off project?

Yes. A single defined project, booked delivery block or planned site visit can be a good fit; there is no requirement to buy an open-ended retainer.

Who owns support after the project?

The receiving MSP service desk normally resumes ownership after acceptance and handover. Any stabilisation window or follow-up work is stated explicitly in the proposal.
